Heads turned when basketball legend Michael Jordan took his seat at a corner table at the posh Café Milano on Sunday. The Hill, noting that he and his compadres were one of the last tables left at Milano's 11 p.m. closing time, called it a "guys' night out" (and made sure to describe everything that he was wearing).

Georgetown security guard charged with $365k in identity theft PDF Print E-mail

A security guard who worked in Georgetown has been charged with stealing over 200 identities in connection with a "highly-sophisticated" identity theft and fraud operation, the Washington Examiner reported.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for D.C., the guard, Dawn Marshall was charged with fraud, aggravated identity theft, mail fraud and conspiracy.

The tony Cady's Alley bar Leopold's Lounge  is never wanting of celebrity appearances, but Wednesday night's Georgetown Community Leadership reception yielded an unusual number of 'spotteds.'

Politicos included Ward 2 Councilmember Jack Evans and At-Large member turned Council Chair hopeful Kwame Brown. CAG President Jennifer Altemus was there, joined by other community leaders like ANC Commissioners Bill Starrels and Ed Solomon.

The seemingly annual surge of rodents has hit Burleith and Georgetown, where residents have spotted an abundance of rats in their yards in the last few weeks. The Burleith Citizens Association, Georgetown BID, and other neighborhood groups have taken action in response, offering rat abatement walks and urging residents to give group consent to the Department of Health rodent control program to exterminate on their property.
